I will be re-reading Death By Love, Letters From the Cross, because of this quote:"But the real gospel is not about getting what we want from God. There are only a few hours left of 2008. Rob and I are on our way to a New Year's Eve service where he will be preaching as a guest speaker. Believing that God is sovereign over all, even this blog, it wasn't a "coincidence" that my husband preached on the topic I posted on Saturday. It's a quiet Saturday afternoon, so I replaced the Christmas music with praise and worship, since we started listening before Thanksgiving! The last white light on the tree has been taken off and the tree dragged out the door with a path of needles left behind. Our '08 tree. It takes up quite a bit of the living room, but it is beautiful. Thanks Justin for cutting it down for us, bringing it home and trimming it. Rob, Kelsey, and Lauren decorated it. I get the honor of taking it down. I see the dog made it into the picture,(on the pink pillow in the back) his job was not to bark!
